KiBO - (kee-bow)...
...is one of the highest points in Africa - the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The Kibo Group was founded by a group of climbers in 1998. Our trip to Kibo inspired us to partner with East African communities who are climbing as well... climbing out of poverty, seeking a higher point for their families and their neighbors. Our Climb was actually fairly easy... theirs is not.
Since that climb we have funded many small-scale projects, partnering with East Africans to dig wells, plant trees, start businesses, advance information technology development, and grow quality coffee. These initiatives provide culturally-appropriate sustainable development to help our creative partners succeed. The KiBO Group is growing to meet the increase in interest.
