The G-8, Bono, DATA, PEPFAR, AIDS, debt relief, "Make Poverty History"... Africa has never been at the forefront of the world news quite like it has in the past few months. Many inspired people around the world have demanded that their leaders pause and consider the plight of millions of Africans.
This new, unprecedented global interest in Africa has increased the attention in grass roots: efforts such as ours to bring about small-scale, sustainable change in African communities have caught the attention of other similar organizations. Our world is now talking, thinking and praying about issues that have been on our radar for years. We want to increase awareness by highlighting good news stories and continue to search for more. Every month on our website we will post another good idea or success story from our partners to let you know that our hard work and dedication is paying off.

The Mvule Project is a two-pronged effort put together by the Kibo Group, focusing on kids and trees in Uganda. Read all about it, and see how you can pitch in!
