Kibo Group's program is implemented in phases to address challenges faced by communities in Uganda.

Every community we work with is unique and faces different challenges. Kibo Group ensures the community is developing appropriate solutions to poverty for their situation. In general, we work in three phases:

Phase one of Kibo Group's program focuses on water access, latrine use, and hand washing. Without access to clean water people spend a lot of time, money, and energy treating disease or traveling long distances for water. We focus on clean water, hygiene, and sanitation first to build a foundation for future development.

The Water, Sanitation and Hygiene program partners with village communities to carry out the first phase of Kibo Group's programs.

A thriving community has a broad range of skills and knowledge. Phase 2 focuses on developing these skills by using the biblical principle of loving your neighbor as yourself. Training includes health education, relationship skills, conflict resolution classes, stove building, and other life skills.

The Community Empowerment program partners with village communities to carry out the second phase of Kibo Group's programs.

Phase 3: Mvule Program

Economic success is built on healthy people with healthy relationships. Phase 1 and 2 of Kibo Group's program builds the foundation for Phase 3, which focuses on equipping people to work together to start businesses, save money, and find solutions to problems they face.

The Mvule Program uses trees and goats to partner with village communities to carry out the third phase of Kibo Group's programs.
