Brynn Barton – Trustee
Brynn is the first second-generation member of the Kibo board, and was born in Africa to John and Sara Barton, members of our founding team. She lived in Jinja until age seven, which ingrained her with a lifelong desire to serve and pursue justice. She received her undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University and then her JD from Pepperdine University, and spent three years working abroad in Ghana and Guam. Today Brynn lives in Tulsa and works as an assistant federal public defender. Her hobbies are yoga, trail running, and pottery.
What Brynn loves about Kibo: “Kibo has been a part of my entire life, and I’m a better human because of how it shaped me by demonstrating community, intentionality, and love of neighbor.”
